Comfort Measures for Labor

Comfort Measures

Comfort Measures for Labor is a great class for couples that want to practice how to manage and be comfortable during labor and birth.  This class serves as an excellent resource for getting in some extra practice time with your partner, refreshing skills from a previous birth or to gain some additional knowledge to compliment other classes taken.  The class is kept small to ensure individualized guidance can be provided by the instructors.

During class you will learn and practice practical techniques for pain management for labor & birth that include:

  • relaxation
  • breathing
  • attention focusing
  • visualization
  • positions
  • use of birth ball
  • rebozo, and more!

*This class does not teach in depth topics or philosophies on labor and birth, and is intended as a compliment to childbirth education.

This class is brought to you by Family Centered Birth Services. All classes are taught by certified doulas and follow the ICEA philosophy:

“Freedom of choice based on knowledge of alternatives” and focus on providing parents with a variety of resources to help prepare both physically and emotionally so that they can make the choices that are right for them."
